EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

Official’s selection meeting- Jan 29, 9:00am Spiffy’s

Reminder:  Schools wishing to host Winter District Tournaments must have a site agreement on file.  Check web site

District IV Scholarship forms are on web site

2009 Summer Retreat tabled

District IV AD of the Year, Leta Meyer, Heritage High School

District IV enrollment fees not paid (Invoices have been resent)

Fall District Tournaments

a.        District Tournament event revenues up over $60,000

b.       Fifty-five Football, Soccer and District Tournament events

c.       Some venues have greatly increased their rental and usage fees.  We may have to look at hosting those events at another site.

d.      Reviewed how District IV applies the 10% collection fee for Football and Soccer

Director Frazer handed out a format of leagues, classifications, tournament managers and District IV Executive Board responsibilities for District events

Self reports:  Hudson’s Bay, Columbia River, and Castle Rock, no paper work to District from leagues

CORRESPONENCE

  1. Letter from Neil Williamson, Castle Rock High School, self report , Wrestling coach took rules test three days late
  2. Letter from 2-A Evergreen league, Tumwater self report, wrestler participated in six matches is a day.

DISCUSSION

      1.  Propose Track Officials

      Henry reviewed the lasted proposal from the Executive Board on Track officials.  This generated considerable discussion.  It was MSP unanimously to instruct Henry to vote to keep the status quo.

2.  Amendments

      Everyone agreed that we should have a copy of the new amendments before Winter Coalition.  We would like to be able to send our representatives with any questions that need to be answered.

1.       Reviewed the new propose Officials contract

2.      Development of a 10 year plan for fees and ticket prices

3.      A $1.00 Sur charge at certain state events

4.      Emerald City classic may not be at Quest field.

5.      2-A golf has been moved to the Appletree in Yakima

6.      Boys Basketball coaches are asking for a shot clock.
