Letter from Derek
Cook,
Regarding
the information sent out to the Officials association, there are concerns with
the cost factors for schools and the role of District IV in the selection
process for its tournaments. Wendy and
Henry were asked to gather information regarding what role the WIAA has in this
process.
Rob clarified the purpose and uses the WCA coach’s passes. District IV concerns are:
1. Language is not clear on what events these are good for (Coach’s trying to use them at non district tournament events)
2. Reimbursement
formula
3. Financial impact on District IV
Members of District IV would appreciate having the amendments before the Winter Coalition. It is felt that this would generate more detailed discussion and that it may result in some changes that may improve the passage.
