DISCUSSION

1.Constitution/By-law changes

Mike Colbrese has suggested the following

1. WIAA executive Board member being a voting member. This could lead to a conflict of interest if the issue comes to the executive Board

2. That District constitutions provide for a review of all penalties imposed by the leagues. Director Frazer will have a proposal for the Constitution committee to review before the next District meeting.

2. 1/21 meeting with Mike Colbrese/Todd Storedahl

The Committee will meet with Mike and Todd to discuss concerns that have arose with District IV’s adoption of a fee schedule for Basketball officials.

3. District IV sportsmanship guidelines.

District IV adopted a sportsmanship code for all schools and leagues. This will be included in the minutes

4. Amendments for 2007

Will be brought to January meeting

5. Sites and Officials for state football playoffs.

Concerns were expressed over the sites for 1st and 2nd rounds sites for playoffs. District IV will re-evaluate those schools wanting to host 1st round contests. It was also expressed that all second round contests should be on turf. Director Frazer was asked to bring this up at the next District Directors meeting. The board also expressed its displeasure on how officials are assigned to 1st and 2nd round contests, what criteria is being used and should home associations be assigned to these games?
